Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP)

This cutting-edge treatment utilizes platelets from a portion of the patient’s own blood to promote healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. A small sample of the patient’s blood is drawn and the platelets are separated by centrifugation. The concentrated platelet-rich plasma is then injected into and around the point of injury, strengthening the body’s natural healing and stimulating the healing of bone and soft tissue.

Prolotherapy (or Reconstructive Injection Therapy)

Prolotherapy was originally used by Hippocrates over 2500 years ago to heal a javelin thrower’s shoulder pain. The modern version of prolotherapy is an injection therapy that has been used for various musculoskeletal injuries for at least 75 years. It stimulates growth of cells and tissue that stabilize and strengthen weakened joints, cartilage, ligaments and tendons and thus alleviates pain, restores function, and improves quality of person’s life.

Prolozone

Prolozone is a technique that involves series of injections of combinations of anesthetics, anti-inflammatory medications, homeopathics, vitamins, proliferatives, and ozone/oxygen gas into degenerated or injured joints, and into area of pain. This method promotes regeneration of joints and other injured tissues, and helps to alleviate pain.

Neural Prolotherapy (NPT)

This revolutionary, natural treatment is used to anyone with pain-chronic of otherwise. NPT involves a series of small injections along the pathway of tiny nerve endings directly beneath the skin that corresponds to a painful region. Often NPT instantaneously relieve pain and facilitates healing process of damaged tissue. Currently there are only a select number of physicians trained in NPT in the world.

Joints Visco-supplementation

This treatment is a non-surgical, non-pharmacological way of managing Osteoarthritis-related pain. Visco-supplementation involves the delivery of Hyaluronon (a natural substance found in joints that act as a lubricant) directly into the affected joint. The treatment can be used to alleviate pain and improve functionality in the majority of Osteoarthritis-affected joints.

Musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound & Ultrasound-guided injections

Dr. Likver is one of the few highly trained physicians in utilizing musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSK US) as a diagnostic tool and performing ultrasound-guided therapeutic injections. MSK US is a safe, without radiation and with no contraindications imaging modality which allows doctor to establish a diagnosis and provide treatment the same day. Real time ultrasound visualization provides safe and efficient needle guidance to a compromised area and, thus, precise delivery of therapies to a structure which needs to be treated. Correctly performed ultrasound-guided injection ensures less procedural pain and maximizes result.
